FAIRFIELD INN & SUITES BY MARRIOTT KEY WEST, Key West – Your ideal downtown stay

My stay at this hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The location was nice, close to downtown, but also far from the main attractions. The service was mostly great, except for a few lapses. The dining experience was standard, nothing exceptional, and the rooms were less than ideal due to their proximity to the road and the inconvenience of having to switch rooms. However, the on-site concierge provided excellent restaurant suggestions and the facilities were satisfactory.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were very clean and quiet with plenty of free parking and nearby restaurants, but they turned out to be smaller than what I expected based on the website photos. The service was amazing and the staff were always kind and helpful. The location was relaxing and well-kept, resembling a resort, but I noticed some unkempt areas with garbage, which was disappointing. The dining options were okay considering the circumstances, but there is room for improvement. Overall, a decent stay with some minor drawbacks.

The hotel is away from the heart of Key West, which was exactly what we wanted to avoid the commercial aspect and noise. The location was absolutely amazing, on the catwalk, in downtown Key West, close to the next stop on the trip, and on the trolley route. The rooms, though comfortable for a night's stay, lacked room darkening curtains, and the bathroom felt small like a closet. The service was great in helping with booking adventures, but there was a misunderstanding about additional charges on the card without explanation. Dining was delicious each morning with a good variety of choices. The hotel provides typical buffet fare including waffles, scrambled eggs, cereals, and gluten-free dishes. The facilities include dry cleaning, shops, laundry, shuttle service, paid shuttle service, welcome drink, and tours/ticket assistance.
